Race Charities:
We are donating money to HelpHopeLive which is a national non-profit that helps people dealing with severe medical crisis.  A donation from each Connected Home 5K registration goes this organization in honor of Brooke Span who is battling against autoimmune hepatitis and will require a liver transplant in the near future. Brooke is the wife of Daniel Spann who is a project manager for our Title Sponsor Plantation Building Corporation. You will also see a donation question as you register allowing you to support Brooke in her fight against this disease. Please donate whatever you can. Here is a link to Brooke's fund raising page.

We are also raising money for "SHE ROCKS" which is a local non-profit working to raise awareness and funds for combating ovarian cancer. If you did last year's race you know that Beth Quinn did the 2014 Connected Home 5K while undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer. It was a wonderful experience for all of us who were involved last year. Thankfully, this year Beth is cancer free and has started SHE ROCKS to help other women who may suffer from this terrible disease. A portion of each SHE ROCKS 5K Team entry fee will go to this excellent local non-profit organization. She ROCKS is supported by Cape Fear CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and other organizations involved in supporting women in our community.
